This project was tricky but well worth the time and money. This customer had a Perrin standard front mount intercooler set up. FLI chose to reverse a Legacy GT intake manifold because it is made of plastic, which helps greatly against heat soak. Actually, we never saw intake air temperatures rise above 85 degrees on this intake manifold in the dyno room! To give you a spool comparison, this GT35R made 300 ft. lbs. of torque at the wheels at 3500 rpm versus 3850 rpm (GT35R turbo set up with standard front mount intercooler). Take note of matching crinkled red powder coating to match the APS rotated mount intake and FLI custom power steering stainless steel line. Overall piping saved around 3.5 feet.
