DYNO Tuning

FLI believes tuning is the most essential component when modifying a performance or factory vehicle. Unfortunately, it is also the most overlooked. Custom tuning creates a smooth, powerful and efficient environment for which the driver can enjoy on a daily basis.

Tuning Philosophy

FLI carefully studies how and why each manufacture designed the engine & transmission control system before each tune. These manufactures intended the ECU to process information a certain way. They dedicated countless amount of time and energy into that mass production vehicle. FLI appreciates this effort and improves upon this in a professional manner. We have the heart, equipment, training and most importantly the ambition to create a more desirable outcome. FLI tunes for every driver and their driving characteristics.

Parameters that FLI pays close attention to are; cold & hot starts, partial throttle (economy), idle speed, fuel & timing transition windows and most importantly to achieve an overall smooth power band. We are dedicated to making sure that all the aftermarket or factory parts run coherently with each other.

FLI believes sacrificing 5 wheel peak horsepower is worth the longevity and overall efficiency of the engine. We do fine tune wide open throttle to maximize power, but do not overlook the safety and stability of the engine’s life.

Mustang Dyno

Our Chassis Dyno

The Mustang 500SE Dynamometer is capable of accurately loading 2WD or 4WD/AWD vehicles for the highest level of repeatability in the industry. We utilize a load-bearing dyno that uses an eddy-current load absorption unit with low inertia rollers for precise and instant torque measurement and power production feedback while the vehicle is running.

The vehicle’s weight and aerodynamic profile are utilized to accurately load the vehicle as it accelerates on the dyno. We can also simulate acceleration ramps and climbing grades. A full weather station that instantly measures
barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity is also employed that reads AS the dyno is operating.

Our pricing structure is designed to facilitate everything from street cars to race cars to experimental vehicles.
